Charity & not-for-profit services

Acting as we do for a large number of charities, schools, colleges and public bodies, we have a long-standing commitment to the not-for-profit sector. Our team members also regularly give their own time serving as school governors, charity trustees and on various committees such as the LEP, so they understand how such organisations work “from the inside out”, making them better and more effective advisers. Our reputation is built on the understanding that we have a stake in the success and welfare of the local and wider community, and we are very proud of the contribution that we have made to it over the years.

We offer clients in not-for-profit sectors specialist, partner-led services ranging from intellectual property and advice on commercial contracts to employment, property and dispute resolution. Acting for a wide range of institutions enables us to identify common issues and difficulties, and to develop legal solutions without reinventing the wheel – resulting in a more cost-effective service for you. In addition, our team members bring a lot of sector knowledge and experience to play on your behalf, making us well-placed to understand and help you meet the challenges you face.

Our clients range from national charities to trusts set up by philanthropic individuals and local or regional charities. Some clients are grant-making bodies while others work for a wide range of good causes, including medical and care organisations; education and religious bodies; arts and heritage groups and many more.
